Women’s Day Celebrated by Nanganallur Magalir Mandram

The Nanganallur Magalir Mandram celebrated International Women’s Day with enthusiasm and participation from its members.
During the function, Mrs. Jayasree, who has been achieving remarkable success in the field of sports, was honoured with the “Sadhanai Penmani” (Achieving Woman) Award. In her acceptance speech, she shared valuable insights on how women can maintain good health and happiness in their daily lives.

The event was graced by Ward 167 Councillor Mrs. Durga Natarajan, who attended as the chief guest and delivered a special address highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment and community involvement. The celebration also featured cultural performances by the members of the association. In addition, members who have been dedicating their efforts to conducting sewing classes and Thirukkural recitation classes as part of the organisation’s ongoing activities were specially honoured for their contribution.

The event was attended by President Mrs. Vasanthi Rajarajan, Secretary Mrs. Devi Mathimaran, and Treasurer Mrs. Dhanalakshmi Narasimman, who extended their greetings and distributed sweets to all those present.
