Thambraas Bhajan Competition Thiruvizha 2025 to Showcase Young Talent in Traditional Namasankeerthanam

In a celebration of tradition, culture, and community spirit, Thambraas – Nanganallur will be organizing the Bhajan Competition Thiruvizha 2025 on Sunday, 22nd June 2025 at Ganesh Mandali, 17th Street, NCBS Colony, located behind Varasiddhi Vinayakar Temple in Nanganallur. The event will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until 6:00 PM, inviting families and music lovers for a full day of spiritual melodies.

Adding significance to the event, eminent personalities from the Namasankeerthana field will serve as judges, offering both evaluation and invaluable guidance to the young participants. The top three teams will receive special recognition, while all participants will be honored with consolation prizes.

The last date for registration is 15th May 2025.

This event serves not just as a competition but as a platform to instill cultural values and musical discipline in children, helping nurture the next generation of torchbearers of our heritage.

Aimed at nurturing young talent, this grand gala competition is open to children aged 5 to 18 years, welcoming both boys and girls. Participants can register as part of a school team, music coaching centre, or as an independent group. Each team may have up to 8 artists including accompaniments, and performances must follow the Namasankeerthana tradition, a revered form of devotional music.

While traditional bhajan attire is encouraged, uniforms are not mandatory. Each team will be given 20 minutes to present their musical offering. The order of performances will be decided on the day, and teams are expected to report at the venue by 8:30 AM sharp. Breakfast arrangements are to be made individually, while lunch, tea, and refreshments will be provided to all participants and accompanying members.
