Thambraas Bhajan Competition Celebrates Devotion and Talent

The recently held Thambraas Bhajan Competition drew a vibrant and enthusiastic crowd, with over 15 bhajan teams participating in a spiritually uplifting musical contest. Each team featured around 8 members, adding to the grandeur and energy of the event. The performances were marked by devotion, discipline, and rich cultural presentation, making the event a true celebration of traditional music.
President of Thambraas - Nanganallur, Mr. Jayaram took initiative to organise this event.

The event was graced by renowned Carnatic vocalist Neyveli Santhanagopalan, who served as the chief guest and addressed the gathering with words of inspiration about the spiritual power of bhajans. Dignitaries including Zone 12 Alandur Chairman Mr. N. Chandran and Ward 167 Secretary Mr. J. Natarajan were also present and applauded the efforts of the organizers and participants.

Organized by Thambraas – Nanganallur, the event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural traditions while fostering community spirit. President Mr. Jayaram and his team's efforts to bring out such a devotional and spiritual event was well appreciated by the people. They also requested Mr. Jayaram to host more events like in the upcoming months.

Emerging victorious, Shankara Priya Bhajan Mandali secured the first prize, while Omkar Academy and Guru Krupa Music School, Chromepet took the second and third places respectively. The top three teams were awarded grand prizes and trophies in recognition of their standout performances.

To honour the spirit of participation, every performer received a medal, ensuring each team felt appreciated and celebrated.
