Special World Diabetes Day Camp to be held in Nanganallur

As part of World Diabetes Day, the Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite, in association with Hindu Mission Health Services, Nanganallur, will be organizing a free health camp on November 14 (Friday) at the Skating Rink, 100 Feet Road, Nanganallur, starting from 9am onwards.

The camp will offer basic diabetic screening, ECG, X-ray, dental and eye check-ups, along with free medical consultations.
Speaking to Nanganallur Connect, Mr. Natarajan, Joint Secretary of Hindu Mission Health Services and a senior member of the Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite, emphasized the importance of raising awareness about diabetes. “Today, diabetes is one of the major health concerns that cannot be ignored. With Nanganallur having a large number of senior citizens, it becomes our responsibility to educate people about diabetes and its effects on daily life, and how they can stay healthy and avoid getting affected,” he said.

Chief Guests for the event include Rtn. Suryanarayana Rao (District Community Service Health – RID 3234) and Mr. Chandran (Chairman – Zone 12, Greater Chennai Corporation). Mrs. Durgadevi Natarajan (Ward Councillor, Ward No. 167) and Mr. Natarajan (Ward 167 Secretary) will be present as Guests of Honour.
In addition to tomorrow’s camp, Hindu Mission Health Services will also be conducting a special awareness-linked initiative at their hospital with discounted diabetes testing in the coming week.
