Education Meets Impact: Smt. Rajeswari Radhakrishnan Trust Celebrates 15 Years of Change

For over 14 years, the Smt. Rajeswari Radhakrishnan Charitable Trust has been a pillar of empowerment, nurturing the dreams of meritorious yet underprivileged students across Tamil Nadu. The recently held 15th Educational Sponsorship Programme at St. Antony’s Higher Secondary School, Velachery, continued this inspiring mission, with ₹75 lakh allocated for the academic year 2025–26. Of this, ₹40 lakh has already been distributed, and the remaining ₹35 lakh is set for distribution in the next cycle, benefitting students who scored 85% and above in Class 12 core subjects and 75% and above in college semester exams.

In a noteworthy development, seven final-year students supported by the Trust have secured placements through campus recruitment, demonstrating the tangible impact of the initiative.

Managing Trustee Mr. M. Radhakrishnan emphasized the role of girls’ education in combating child labour and early marriage — a message that deeply resonated with attendees. As a gesture of gratitude to its generous donors, the Trust planted an additional 150 trees, symbolizing its dual commitment to education and environmental sustainability.

With five sponsored students receiving Achievers’ Awards for excellence in their fields, the programme not only celebrated individual accomplishments but also highlighted a shared vision: where education becomes the most powerful catalyst for social change.
