Roadwork Begins on MGR Road – Smoother Rides Ahead

MGR Road, a key main road in Nanganallur and an important bus route, is undergoing much-needed road work. The stretch was rough, damaged and bumpy, making travel difficult for commuters. Now, efforts are underway to resurface the road, ensuring a safer and smoother experience for residents and daily travellers.

According to workers at the site, the project is expected to be completed in 3-4 days. The first phase involves covering damaged portions and preparing the surface for fresh asphalt. Work is primarily being carried out at night to avoid traffic disruptions.

One of the workers on-site mentioned that clearing parked vehicles alone could take until midnight, after which the road-laying process would begin. Given the length of the stretch, completing the entire relaying work will take a few days.

For regular commuters, this upgrade comes as a welcome relief. The previous road condition had led to dust pollution and bumpy rides, making daily travel challenging. With this revamp, MGR Road is set to offer smoother and safer travel for residents of Nanganallur.
