Nanganallur seeks e-buses to locality

Considering all the above factors, residents expressed the hope that the authorities concerned in the government and the Metropolitan Transport Corporation would heed the request and sanction e-buses and additional routes to ensure a hassle-free travel for Nanganallureans at least in the next lot.

Commuters from Nanganallur while expressing concerns over the delay in allocation of e-buses in the recent batch of vehicles flagged off by Chief Minister Joseph C Vijay, have expressed the hope that the state government will soon approve e-buses for the locality too.

As reported earlier in Nanganallur Connect, that the residents of Nanganallur satisfied with the bus network operated by the city transport operator, Metropolitan Transport Corporation, to connect the locality with other parts of the city, many had sought upgrdaded and additional fleet to meet the ever-rising transport needs of the commuters.

In the same report, commuters stressed the need for more buses in the absence of share autos and limited frequency in the routes operated to connect Nanganallur with important zones in the city. Since the area has no direct connectivity to some of the important places in extended parts of the city, the commuters had appealed for more routes and additional number of buses to strengthen the existing fleet. Such a measure would also reduce the daily load of the existing network and also cut waiting time for the passengers, residents had suggested.
