Fresh Colours for Nanganallur’s Public Spaces

Select parks in Nanganallur and the Pazhavanthangal subway are currently getting a fresh coat of paint. According to officials, the repainting work has been taken up after some years to give these public spaces a renewed look.

Speaking to Nanganallur Connect, Assistant Engineer Mr. Rajesh shared that around 60–70% of the parks in the area are being repainted as part of the ongoing work. “It’s been quite some time since the last painting, and many of the park walls and structures had faded. We wanted to give them a fresh look,” he said.

Meanwhile, repainting at the Pazhavanthangal subway is at the final stages of completion

Addressing questions about the timing of the work, he mentioned that the team has planned the repainting during a period without rain and that they are using good-quality paints that dry within half a day to a day. “We are ensuring that the paints used are of durable quality and that the work is done carefully,” he added.
