Colourful Kolams Illuminate Nanganallur!

As reported earlier in our exclusive WhatsApp broadcast (Send 'Nanganallur' to 72003 05853 to join), a grand Kolam (Rangoli) competition was held at several places (NGO Colony Main Road, Lakshmi Nagar 1st Street & 5th Street, Voltas 100 Ft Road - 10th Street, Voltas Colony 50 Ft Road, Easwaran Colony 50 Ft Road, SBI Colony 2nd Street Extension, Hindu Colony 2nd Main Road) in Nanganallur This competition was organized by Ward 167 and Zone 12 Administration as a part of Women's Day celebrations.
Hundreds of Women came up with such enthusiasm and participated, showcasing their artistic skills through intricate, vibrant and culturally-rich Kolams. These colourful Kolams mesmerized the passer-by and left them with awe. It was a spectacular sight to see Nanganallur streets illuminated with the colourful Kolams. Many prominent DMK members including RS Bharathi (Organizing Secretary), N Chandran (Zone 12 Chairman), Durga Devi Natarajan (Ward 167 Councillor) along with others attended the event. The winners will be announced in an event followed by a prize distribution ceremony happening on 23rd March in Pazhavanthangal.
