Chennai Airport to restore old cab pickup point

After receiving mixed opinion from people regarding the shifted cab pickup point, AAI (Airports Authority of India) in their review meeting has decided to restore the previous cab pickup point opposite to T1 Terminal.

A huge sigh of relief to passengers as AAI has finally decided to shift the cab pickup point from the multi-level parking lot to the previous lot opposite the T1 terminal. The restored pickup point is said to be functional from March. The cab pickup point was changed to the multi-level parking lot just six months back, and it immediately received mixed response from the passengers due to the difficulty in navigating and waiting in queue for the elevators.

This decision is said to have been made at the recent high-level meeting held to review the ongoing works at the airport. In response to the public outrage regarding the pickup point, AAI officials have acknowledged the concerns and decided to restore the previous cab pickup point opposite to the T1 Terminal. This decision has been well received by the public as their demands have finally been attended to. AAI is constructing a plaza-like place opposite the T1 terminal with seating, landscaping, and a walkway, and this work is expected to be completed in one month, which eventually paves the way for the old cab pickup point to get back to functioning.
