A spiritually uplifting Abirami Anthathi Parayanam was held in Nanganallur, bringing together devotees and teachers who have been tirelessly spreading devotional knowledge among the community through slokas and classical hymns. For several years, under the banner “Sridevi Kuzhuvinar”, a group of dedicated gurus have been teaching sacred hymns such as Abirami Anthathi, Lakshmi Sahasranamam, and other devotional compositions to people of all ages in and around Nanganallur. The initiative has been led by Smt. Mythili Venkatraman, Smt. Rangamani, Sri Srinivasan, and Smt. Rajamma, whose guidance has helped over 500 participants learn Abirami Anthathi with deep meaning and clarity. Gallery attached below the article.

Two months ago, through the organisation “Manitham Vithaipom”, a historic 1,008-hour continuous online music and devotional recital was conducted. The event went on to achieve Guinness World Record recognition, marking a significant milestone in devotional and cultural history. From the Sridevi Kuzhuvinar group alone, 40 members actively participated in this record-setting effort. To honour these contributors, a special event was organised on the auspicious occasion of Thai Amavasai, a day traditionally associated with Abirami Bhattar receiving the divine vision of Goddess Abirami, the day on which the Abirami Anthathi was originally composed. On this spiritually significant day, around 40 participants jointly performed a complete parayanam of Abirami Anthathi, which was also shared live for devotees across locations. As a mark of appreciation, medals were presented to all those who participated in the 1,008-hour recital, acknowledging their dedication and contribution. The event concluded on a fulfilling and devotional note with collective prayers and recognitions.

The programme was graced by music teacher Smt. Subha Vijay and Hindi Pandit Smt. Rajalakshmi as special guests, who appreciated the effort and significance of the initiative. The event was beautifully coordinated by members of Sridevi Kuduvinar, reflecting unity, devotion, and cultural commitment. The programme was organised under the guidance of Sadhana Pennani Jyothi Meenakshi, Founder and President of Manitham Vithaipom. Additionally, the organisers also honoured Mrs. Kamala (Feautred in Nanganallur Natchathiram, a special series by Nanganallur Connect, Video link - https://youtu.be/mRTra6jrf4I), who had drawn kolams based on the Thiruppavai pasurams every single day throughout the Margazhi month, appreciating her devotion and artistic contribution. The event stood as a powerful reminder of how collective effort, devotion, and cultural values continue to thrive strongly within the Nanganallur community.
