A Safe Sip for Every Child: RO Units Installed in 5 Balwadis

In a meaningful initiative for Children’s Day, five brand-new RO drinking water systems were inaugurated today across Balwadi schools in Nanganallur. The project was formally launched by Mr. N. Chandran, Zonal Chairman – Zone 12 (Alandur), in the presence of Ward Councillors and Secretaries. Gallery attached at the end of this article - scroll down.

The RO units were donated by the Federation of Nanganallur Welfare Associations, whose members were actively present throughout the event. Their contribution aims to ensure clean, safe drinking water for children studying in the area’s Balwadi schools.

Community Participation

Officials from the Greater Chennai Corporation, members of the Federation, and representatives from various welfare groups attended the program, extending their support to the initiative. The atmosphere was lively, with active involvement from staff, volunteers, and parents who were present at the schools.

A Warm Children’s Day Celebration

Along with the inauguration, the team also celebrated Children’s Day with the kids. Biscuits and snacks were distributed, making the morning cheerful and memorable for the children. The visit brought smiles across every Balwadi, turning a civic initiative into a heartfelt celebration. A local ladies’ club also participated in the event by gifting sarees to the Balwadi teachers, acknowledging their service and commitment to early education.
